Home, Health, activities, coaching, Focus and your documents, and how each feeds the next.
Updated Sep 11, 2026
Betterness is one account and one Bett-i. Your devices, your logs and your labs arrive in Health. Bett-i reads them and shows you the picture in Home. Focus turns that picture into what to do today.
Home: the greeting, your latest numbers, and what Bett-i suggests now.
Health: everything measured — activities, sleep, nutrition, biomarkers — resolved into one view.
Activities: each session you record, with coaching one press away.
Coaching: a conversation about a session, and one living plan per sport that adapts as you play.
Focus: the plan for today, on your calendar, with what you finished.
Documents: your plans, reports and notes, dated, in one place.

Create your account and sign in
One account for web and phone. Sign in with an email and password, Google, or Apple.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
Betterness uses a single account everywhere. The same sign-in opens the web app and the phone apps. Your data follows you between them.
Steps
1Open the Betterness landing page.
2Choose "Get Started" for a new account, or "Log In" if you already have one.
3Pick how you sign in: an email and password, your Google account, or your Apple account.
4Finish the sign-in screen to land back in Betterness.
The first time you sign in, Bett-i asks four short sets of questions before Home opens.
Basics. The name you want to be called, your gender, your date of birth, and any invite code.
Goals. The health outcomes that matter most to you right now.
Concerns. Anything you are dealing with at the moment.
Body. Imperial or metric, then your height and weight.
After that you pick which devices you use. Bett-i walks you through connecting the ones you picked. You can skip that and connect later from Settings.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a code or an invitation to sign up?
No. An invite code is optional. It only matters when a coach, gym, clinic or employer invited you.
Can I change my sign-in method later?
Yes. Settings, then Account details, then Security lists your connected accounts. You can add a password or disconnect Google there.
A tour of Home, from the greeting and the snapshot card to the chips, the chat and the navigation.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
Home is the screen you land on after signing in. It opens with a greeting that changes through the day, followed by the line "Here's where things stand."
Under the greeting sits your snapshot. It reads your recent data and shows what changed. It has a few different looks, depending on what you have connected.
Cards you can act on, when Bett-i has something specific to say. Each card names where it came from, and the X dismisses it.
"Your latest snapshot" with a short read of your recent data, when there is data but nothing worth a card.
"Connect your health data", when nothing is connected yet.
"Your insights are taking shape", when the data is there but too new. First insights arrive after a few days.
Nothing at all. The card slot simply is not there. Come back later and it fills in on its own.
Below the snapshot is a row of chips. One counts the Teams you belong to, or reads "Join your first App" if you have none yet. The other two open Health and Labs.
Then comes "Continue with Bett-i". It shows the start of the last thing Bett-i said to you. Selecting it opens the full conversation, and "Back to Today" brings you back to this landing.
Two suggestion chips sit under it: "What changed this week?" and "What should I focus on today?". Selecting one drops the question into the message box so you can edit it first. Neither one sends on its own.
A full-width "Log a meal" button opens the meal capture screen. At the bottom of Home sits the message box, with the placeholder "Ask Bett-i anything about your health".
The rest of the product lives in the navigation. On the web, the rail on the left reads Home, Inbox, Health, Focus, Team, Labs, with Settings at the bottom. On a phone, the bottom bar reads Home, Health, Focus, Team, Labs.
Frequently asked questions
Labs is missing from my navigation.
Lab ordering is available in the United States only, so the Labs icon is hidden outside the US. You can still upload lab results you already have.
Why does the snapshot say "Your latest snapshot" some days and show cards on others?
Cards appear when Bett-i has something specific to point at. "Your latest snapshot" is what you see when the data is fresh but nothing needs flagging.
Type, dictate, or attach a photo or file. How specialists, skills and the daily message limit work.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
You and Bett-i have one ongoing conversation. It does not reset between visits, and there is no list of separate chats to manage. Anything you told her before is still there.
The message box gives you four ways in.
Type your message and press send.
Select the paperclip to attach a file. Upload from your device, or pick something already in your library.
Select the mic to dictate. Your speech becomes text in the box, so you can read it and edit it before sending.
Type @ to bring in a specialist, or / to open Skills.
Typing @ opens a list of specialists. There are 60 of them, grouped into core, health, life, growth, productivity, social, finance and custom. They answer inside the same conversation, and their replies are labeled so you always see who is speaking. On Home the @ list holds specialists only, not people.
Typing / at the start of a line opens Skills, the actions Bett-i can run for you.
A half-written message is saved as a draft. Moving to another screen and coming back does not lose it.
On the Core plan you get 20 messages a day. A banner appears above the message box once 3 are left. At the limit the box stops sending until the next day. The Elite plan removes the cap.
Bett-i is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. The full line sits under the message box. It reads:
Frequently asked questions
Can I start a second, separate conversation with Bett-i?
No. There is one conversation, and it carries your whole history and context.
What happens to a photo I attach?
Bett-i reads it as part of the conversation. Meal photos go through the meal capture screen instead, which asks for your consent first.
Linking a wearable or health app turns Home, Health and your insights from empty into personal.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
Almost everything Bett-i can tell you starts with a connected source. Sleep, activities, heart rate and body measurements arrive on their own once a source is linked. The snapshot on Home then has something real to read.
Connections live in one place. Open Settings, then Connected devices. Each card names what that source brings, and connecting one is included in every plan.
Some providers ask you to sign in or create a free account with them before they share data. Finish that in their window and come back. Your connection stays in progress and picks up where it left off.
The full walkthrough is in the Connected devices article. It covers what each source brings and how to pause a sync.
Your health profile is what makes Bett-i answer about you rather than in general.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
Your sources tell Bett-i what your body did. Your health profile tells her the rest. That means your goals, your history, medications and supplements, diets and allergies, and family history.
Without it, answers stay generic. With it, Bett-i can connect a number to something that is actually going on in your life.
You will find it under Settings, then Health profile. It is split into sections with a progress counter. Fill in a little at a time and come back.
Every field, what it changes, and how to reset an answer are covered in the Health profile article.
What stays the same on a phone, what moves, and which connections need the app.
Updated Sep 3, 2026
Betterness works in a phone browser. The navigation moves from a rail on the left to a bar across the bottom. That bar reads Home, Health, Focus, Team, Labs.
Selecting Home again while you are inside a Home sub-view takes you back to the landing.
Searching inside your conversation with Bett-i is a desktop feature today. It does not appear on a narrow screen.
Two connections need the app rather than a browser. Apple Health is available only on the iOS app, and Health Connect only on the Android app. Their cards in Connected devices carry a download button for that platform. The Android card can instead read "Coming soon to Google Play", depending on the store listing.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the app at all?
Only for Apple Health and Health Connect. Every other source connects from a browser.
