OpenClaw / BetterClaw
Autonomous health agents on top of NVIDIA OpenClaw with Betterness as the data backbone.
What is BetterClaw
OpenClaw is NVIDIA's autonomous coding agent framework. BetterClaw is Betterness's extension — starter kits, agent templates, and MCP wiring for health agent workflows. If you build a health agent from scratch, you'd need to solve consent flows, wearable integrations, lab pipelines, and HIPAA compliance yourself. BetterClaw makes those infrastructure.
Architecture
- OpenClaw runtime — agent execution environment
- Betterness MCP — governed health tool access
- Betterness CLI — scripting, cron, and local automation
- Your LLM — Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, or any model
Quick start
# 1. CLI + auth
npm install -g @betterness/cli
betterness auth login
# 2. API key
# Generate at /console/keys, then
betterness auth login --key bk_your_key
3. Wire MCP into your agent
{
"mcpServers": {
"betterness": {
"url": "https://api.betterness.ai/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer bk_your_api_key_here"
}
}
}
}
Agent patterns
Daily briefing agent
betterness workflow daily-brief --json | your-agent-process
Or all-MCP: call getProfile, getActivityData, getSleepData, getVitals, searchBiomarkers, getBiologicalAge.
Lab gap analysis agent
searchBiomarkers— recent resultsgetLoincCodes— LOINC slug lookup- Detect gaps (no recent Vitamin D, thyroid, lipid panel, etc.)
listAvailableLabTests(loincSlug)— find tests covering gaps- Recommend with name, price, included biomarkers
Proactive monitoring agent
searchBiomarkers(range: "OUT_OF_RANGE")- Compare against previous values for trends
- Alert with actionable recommendations
Governance
- API keys are scoped and rate-limited (100/day free, 5,000 builder)
- Every tool call is logged in the audit trail
- Consent grants control what data the agent can access
- Grants revocable from the Console at any time
